Top 5 Games I Want to Complete

Welcome back to my blog... Yeah it's been a while....

Anyway, I have been reading back over my blog posts and I have realised something about myself that I hate to admit... I don't finish games anymore!! It's always the same story... Look forward to getting a new game, getting excited about the hype, imagining what new battle systems/characters are going to be in this game.

Then I get the game, start playing, love it, get about 20 hours or so in and get bored. Sometimes it's not even boredom, sometimes the game just gets too hard! That is really sad as there are some awesome games that I own that I haven't completed!! I'm not a trophy whore, as some people are so I'm not out to get 100% completion or anything... But I used to be!

In the old days, you got a game, played the crap out of it and found every secret or collectable that you possibly could, than after however long of playing said game, found satisfaction that there was nothing left in the game for you to find, because you had butt-fucked every inch of it (and maybe even the disk). You probably moved on to the next game in your one-shelf game collection and repeated the process, and then went back to complete the first game again, just because you could.

So what happened? Well, one of the problems I think is that there are just too many games to play now! When you got your first console, you had like three games to meticulously play through and when you had finished those you had to wait until Christmas or a Birthday until you got a new one. These days though, there are so many games and obviously being older, you have your own disposable income to spend on whatever the hell you want to spend it on.

So without your parents reminding you that no, you're not going to die if you don't get the latest sequel to a game that all your friends are playing, and no, you won't be left out if you don't get this game, then you are free to indulge in spending your hard earned money on freaking Shin Megami Tensei sequels (if that's what your into?).

But it's not only that you can have any game you want instantly at your fingertips (and with all the android and Ios apps coming out it's literally at your fingertips), but the fact that once you have played a game for 20 hours or so, you have got over that feeling of excitement because you are now playing the game... and then you start thinking, well I like this game because it's new, but I like the game-play/characters/storyline/guns? better in this game...

And you move on to something else either because it's just different or it's new and forget all about the awesome game you were so hyped about last month... I don't know, is it just me?? But now, I feel really shit that I haven't completed some of the coolest and most engaging games that have come out over the past two years and that they are just collecting dust on a shelf.

So anyway, here are the Top 5 games that I really want to complete and the reasons that I didn't complete them yet, so here goes...

Ni No Kuni

I was so excited about getting Ni No Kuni, because I am a total RPG freak, oh and the fact that I love cutesy animated movies like Studio Ghibli's (I even get my nearly 4-year-old nephew to watch them rather than Ben 10 and crap like that), and when I got my hands on it I was enthralled...

...The music and the animations are so beautiful, the story so sweet and innocent and they even threw in a Pokemon style system for your battle companions (did I mention I love Pokemon?), so why haven't I completed it yet, since it is such a good game?

Such a lovely town to explore

The reason I stopped playing this game has happened quite alot with other RPG's that I also haven't completed (most of the FF games... I feel ashamed even writing that!), and that is once you get to the world map, where you can go anywhere you want, explore wherever you want without being on such a strict linear path anymore.... I just don't know what to do.

It's like the game, after holding your hand through the first 20 hours of gameplay, suddenly relinquishes it's grip and says "ok, now it's your turn to make the decisions, off you go" and I turn into a tantrum throwing five year old screaming "Mommy! Don't leave me here!" and pulling my hair out. Or maybe that's just me...

...Anyway, I haven't touched the game again after I got to this stalemate and blamed it on having another game to sink my teeth into, but really it's because I can't be bothered to go around exploring this beautiful world all on my own... That's really sad. Anyway, the next game I have still to complete is...

Fallout 3 and New Vegas

So I pretty much fell in love with the Fallout Universe with Fallout 3, a game which although being a shooter, which isn't usually my cup of tea, is essentially an RPG with character customisation  and leveling up. I loved creating my own character and moving into this breathtakingly destroyed world, starting as a little baby and finally making my way out of the vault and into the scary world of Super Mutants and Ghouls.

Once I got out of the vault, I didn't suffer from the afore-mentioned incapability to explore this new world without the game helping me along my way, because I already new that that is what the game is all about. So I set off completing missions and unlocking new abilities like being able to explode someones head with one shot, which I actually found enjoyable! Shock Horror!

... And then I would get to parts like this, when you are low on ammo and stimpacks and there's a horde of enemies just waiting for you to quit VATS so that they can sink their irradiated teeth into you or blow you up with a rocket launcher. I found myself frantically trying to use whatever cover is provided in the battleground, while spamming items of food just to give myself that little bit more health to take pot shots at the damned enemies!!

And end up dieing so many times that I just get frustrated because the next mission goal is just around the corner, if only I could get past this mob!! Arrgghhh!! Rage quitting did happen....

...And I'm not the kind of person to reload an earlier save and try to find another way around this problem, but maybe I should be... Because I have never completed Fallout 3 or New Vegas and it's a damn shame because I love these games so much!! It just took me a while to realise that I am being a huge pussy and I should just suck it up and try again, but there we are. Another similar game that I haven't completed is:

The Elder Scrolls:Oblivion and Skyrim

Now here are two games that I love maybe more than the Fallout games, because I'm into that whole fantasy thing of ages past where men used swords and women died in childbirth (I love Conan the Barbarian and Game of Thrones so you get the idea of why I would like this game). I fell in love with this universe in Oblivion, it had everything; customisable characters, cool swords, magic, monsters, potions, endless missions and exploration of a vast and beautiful world....

...and I have played the shit out of both games, with multiple characters, storylines, I even created two Skyrim Blogs because I loved creating my own stories using the game as a backdrop to my awesome writing skills and imagination LOL.

There are so many combinations of characters to create and so many quests to do, not to mention dragon battles that I could probably play this game forever (well until the new Elder Scrolls game comes out), and herein lies the problem... I would play probably 30 hours or more as one character over say a week or two, then real life obligations would get in the way e.g. work or seeing friends and family and I wouldn't return to my character for a while.

I would come back to an inventory that was mind boggling, a character someplace that I didn't remember leaving them, for some reason that is now unknown to me and feel myself thinking, meh; I enjoyed this character for a while, but what if I made a huge Orc who dual wields... And then I would start this new awesome character and leave my original standing around in the wilderness for the rest of their days.

What was I doing here?

The problem I think I have with the Elder Scrolls games is that I get too into the game! Or character or whatever... I get so involved with their storyline, in my head, that when I come back to play after a while, I have completely forgotten why I was standing naked in a cave holding a giant warhammer, when I'm supposed to be a magic user!! So I'm sorry to say that I have never completed the Main Story Line Quests in either game, but I really want to!! So from getting too into a game, to not getting into a game enough is...

World Of Warcraft

Now, I know that you can't really complete World of Warcraft, but I have added it to this list because it's another game that I have given up on, and probably will never return there again, because i'm just not into it enough...

I was never into World of Warcraft from the beginning, but always liked the idea of an MMORPG, which had magic and levelling and dungeons and you could team up with real people to go complete some quests and stuff. So I always thought it would be cool to play but never really got hyped about it too much. I eventually bought the game on a whim when I saw it on sale in town one day and it came with a month of free play time and I thought, why not give it a go?

At first I loved the game, it was so cool, it was everything I had ever wanted in a game, I made friends, joined a guild, developed my character and tried to understand all of the stats and intricate details of this huge and inspiring world. The quests were fun, dangerous and humorous and I had friends in my guild who would help out a newbie like me, and so I spent my time.

I paid for the subscriptions, got to quite a respectable level (56), installed team speak so I could chat to all of my guildies, I was a really annoying WOW nerd at this time, spending Friday nights meeting up with people in the game to go through dungeons together, it was a great time... For about 4 months...

Eventually, real life caught up with me and I couldn't play as much as I wanted to, my guildies were bugging me to just get to the next level and then we could go do this dungeon, and so on. I ended up getting annoyed at their constant requests to go do stuff together, when all I wanted to do was go off by myself and explore this new region (there are so many cool places to visit in WOW).

Then Mists Of Pandaria came out and sure, I bought it. But I would come back to the game after 3 solid days at work and find that oh, all of my Panda friends are now level 26 and out in the rest of the world exploring while I'm still in the starter area trying to reach level 9!! I thought we were supposed to do this together!!!

Just for the record, I don't think Pandas are cool
So on the one hand, they were bugging me to play with them, but then they wouldn't wait an extra day to play while I was at work, so I just got fed up and since I had been told how much of a WOW geek I was becoming I decided that I wasn't that into it and gave up trying to keep up with everyone, so I haven't played since. And Finally, the humdinger of games that I haven't completed and am ashamed to admit this is...

Pokemon

And I mean any Pokemon game ever. Anyone that knows me, knows how much I love Pokemon, I own all of the games, except for the new X and Y (it's gonna be a Christmas present) and I have probably spent the most time collectively playing Pokemon games more than any other game! (yes including Sims, which technically you can't finish)

I mean, I don't even think that Pokemon is just a game, it's a culture for gods sake! I watched the shows, movies, played not just the normal Pokemon games but the Mystery Dungeon style games, collected the cards, made my own comics about my adventures with Pokemon which I so badly wanted to exist, I still do. Let's just say i'm into it...

...But I have never completed a Pokemon game. Wait, does that mean defeating the final four? Maybe. Or does it mean completing your Pokedex? Some people would say that is completing the game, but nevertheless, I haven't done either!! And this is the one game that I should have done, whatever the iteration, because I love it so much!! I have just never got around to it.

I'm not making excuses because I'm crap at the game or anything, I have got to the point just before you take on the elite four in every game, but then wait... There's a new game coming out!! And I have to go and buy it!! Start a new adventure with new Pokemon and get into it all over again, and there's the crux of the problem.

There are too many Pokemon games!! I loved the original games, but they just keep adding more and more Pokemon and trying to learn them all, and their new moves and evolutions... It sickens me. Well not too much because I'm probably getting this game for Christmas...

The games have come a long way since their black and white, fuzzily pixellated beginnings
So anyway, there you have it. 5 games I really want to complete, but haven't. Maybe I just give up too easily, or maybe as my boyfriend says "You're just a pussy!" and I should pick them up and make it my mission to complete... But that takes effort. What do you think? I know I would have hours of fun playing through them again, but is it worth it just to say I finished it? Let me know what you think and maybe, just maybe I will complete all of these games in the future...

I'll keep you posted.

Asylum Challenge: Underway

Hi again, due to getting the Sims Supernatural expansion pack, I have put off this challenge for a while. To be honest, this challenge is getting pretty boring because most of the play time is just me fast forwarding and trying to fix all the broken stuff. Nevertheless, I snapped some scary photos of Sumara when there was a fire and now she really does look like the girl from the ring!

I thought this looked pretty freaky, with all the other insane people freaking out.

Cue scary classical music!

Ahh!!! No get away from me!!! The crazies are screaming. Hahahahahahahaha!!

Well, that was the funniest thing that happened so far, but don't fret! I am continuing with this challenge, even if it is quite boring, and then I can move onto the next challenge!! See you next time!!

Asylum Challenge: Started

Welcome Back to my blog. In my last post I set out the rules for the Asylum challenge in the Sims 3 and I have started my new game already!! Here is the Asylum that I built for my crazies:

My crazies all lined up waiting to head inside

I am playing as Sumara, who is also crazy, but is trying to become a normal citizen by completing her lifetime wish which is Jack of all Trades. I went for the scary girl out of the ring look, but she didn't turn out that scary after all...

Casual

Having one bathroom and only five beds does get annoying, but Sumara always seems to get a bed at night, probably because she goes to bed before anyone else!! Now for some pics of the other crazies I made in some weird situations (and remember I don't control them!):

This girl is bat-shit crazy
Yeah... This guy
There are some genuinely funny moments just watching these sims go about their everyday business and alot of wet patches on the carpet!

"Does something smell funky?"
And then there's stuff like this... But we won't go into that here. Anyway, I will keep you updated about how the challenge is going and snap some funny pics hopefully!

Challenge Junkie: Asylum Challenge!!

Now it's time for my next challenge!! Let the fun commence!!

The Sims 3 Asylum Challenge Rules

Introduction

You have been committed to a run down mental health facility against your will. In order to prove that you are fir to rejoin society and earn your freedom, you must achieve the goal you psychiatrist has set you: your lifetime wish.

The catch - you need to achieve your goal as quickly as possible, while keeping 7 other patients, who you don't know and are out of your control, alive and as happy as possible. Add that to budget cutbacks leading to a lack of furniture and limited supplies, and your task gets harder.

Step One

Create your sim in CAS. They must be an adult or young adult. You can choose whatever you want for looks, clothing, voice or favourites. They must have the traits Loser and insane. The other three can be whatever you want, but you cannot use brave or daredevil. Once you have selected all of your traits, roll a dice to determine your LTW.

If the lifetime wish has anything to do with marriage/roommates/babies or anything with multiple sims such as gold digger or heartbreaker, roll again.

Step Two

Create 7 other sims. They can be an adult or young adult. Each of them must have the traits Absent Minded, Insane and Hates the outdoors, the other two traits can be anything you want. You cannot have the natural cook trait, however, as this would make sims unable to start a fire with the stove! You can customize their looks, voice and favourites however you want. It doesn't matter what their lifetime wishes are, as you won't be playing as them. Only one of the sims can have the kleptomaniac trait and only one sim can have the mooch trait. You cannot use brave or daredevil.

Step Three

Build the Asylum on a residential lot. You can use money cheats to build it. It can be multi-storey or one, you choose. There are some restrictions though:

  • All objects, excluding plants, decor and lighting. must be place inside of the building.
  • Custom content is allowed, as long as it's from the Sims Store.
  • You can have no more than 5 'bed spots', you could have 5 single beds or two doubles and a single.
  • There can only be total seating for 6. That includes couches sofas and chairs. If you have a dining table with four chairs, you cannot have a 3 seater couch.
  • You may only have one piece of napable furniture (excluding beds), so if you have a couch you may not have a recliner and so on...
  • Only 1 toilet, 1 sink and 1 tub. For the tub you can have a tub or a shower or a tub/shower combo. You cannot have both a bath and a shower unless it is a combo.
  • You may only have a total of 5 skill building items in the house, so choose wisely at the start. Computers, stoves, bookcases, mirrors amd TV's don't count as skill items but pools and ponds do.
  • If you want a TV, you must purchase the cheapest one; but no other electronics/entertainment are allowed - no mp3 player, no handheld games, no video games, no pool table etc. If you choose to get a TV, you cannot have a computer.
  • You may have a computer, but only one. It must be on a desk with a chair, so it can be accessed by all the patients. You can use this for the writing skill. If you buy a computer you cannot have a TV.
  • You can have as many phones as you want but due to shoddiness of the Asylum there's no burglar alarm, no fire alarm and no sprinkler.
  • You must have the cheapest stove. You can only have one.
  • You can only have one fridge.
Step Four

Your goal is to get out of the Asylum and become a normal citizen of your chosen town. To do this, you must complete your lifetime wish. Here are the rules of the challenge:

  • The 8 sims cannot be related.
  • You cannot play the other 7 sims. You can't even click on their picture. They cannot get jobs and they cannot leave the asylum.
  • You may only leave the asylum to go get a job or go to work. You may also leave to buy groceries or go to the bookstore, but that's all.
  • You may have other sims visit. You can also date other sims as long as you don't leave the lot.
  • No maid, no gardener, no repair person, no exterminator. You cannot have a baby or move anyone else onto the lot even if someone else dies.
  • If anyone dies (other patients or visitors) you must leave their tombstone on the lot and allow the ghost to roam freely. Congrats, you now have a haunted Asylum.
  • If a patient dies, you must delete 1 bed and 1 seat, until you have only one left.
  • Once you are finished building and furnishing the house you must reduce your funds to $100. You can do this by purchasing fish and releasing them into the wild.
  • You can buy more objects if you have enough money, with the exception of: beds, seating, toilets, sinks, tubs, showers, entertainment skill items or electronics (except phones).
  • No re-arranging of furniture to reserve or use something for yourself. For example, you cannot move a TV into a bedroom and turn it on just to get an uncontrollable patient out of bed so you can sleep there. Nor can you remove a door so that a room such as the bathroom is freed up upon your return from work.
  • You may not buy any objects that serve any purpose after beginning the challenge. Including - surfaces, seating, skill objects. You may buy windows, flooring, wallpaper, pictures, plants, lights and pretty knick knacks after starting. So choose wisely, the exceptions being that you can replace stolen or re-possessed items as long as you buy the exact same item.
  • If an uncontrollable sim gets and opportunity, you must ignore it. However, you can accept opportunities if it is for your playable sim, but remember you can only go to the bookstore, grocery store or work!
  • Each night at 12 AM sim time, you are permitted to pause the game and clear out anything that the inmates have put in their inventory - books, guitars, newspapers etc. However, you may not take out food, seeds or any other object a kleptomaniac may have received.
  • You must have the free will set to high. Sim lifespan can be whatever you want, set aging on.
  • You cannot use your inventory to reserve items for yourself. For example, you cannot put a book or a guitar in your inventory so no-one else can use it.
  • If one of the unplayable sims wanders off the lot, you don't have to do anything. They will come back eventually because they all hate the outdoors.
Step Five

When scoring, you are allowed to click on the other 7 sims and check their information.

+ 1 per skillpoint of any of the other 7 sims left at the end. Only living sims count.
+1 per friend any living sim has, not including any of the 8 sims that you created.
+1 per 1000 aspiration points your sim has
-1 per day you are in the Asylum. Check this by hovering over the time under your Sims avatar, it will say something like 2 weeks 5 days, one week is -7.
-20 per sim in step two that died.
-30 for each visitor that died on the lot.
-1 for each repo-man visit

Ok, now time to have fun!!

Spoiled Sim Challenge: Complete!!

Hello again!! The spoiled sim challenge is now complete!! My character Veronica (Ronnie) is one day away from dying of old age!! Hurrah!! Here are some special moments from her life!

Ah yes, the infamous Maid's outfit

Ronnie eventually got married to Leighton Sekemoto and I must say this has been the longest courtship of any sim's couple I have ever played!!

Ronnie winning a hot-dog eating competition at the Summer Festival!!

Fun in the sun!
There was a lot of play time in between, Ronnie got to the Governor position in the Politics career, had two daughters and formed a band which never made it big!! She also moved to a bigger house and went through three cars!

This is Ronnie and her daughter Lyra on her last day of life, being burgled no less!!

And here's a lovely picture of Veronica and Leighton in their elder years...

My final points for Ronnie were 66,221. Quite good but could have been better!! Might try this one again or continue with Ronnie's daughter and see what I get next time...

Thursday, 7 March 2013

Oooops!!

Hello there!! And welcome back to my blog. I would have posted yesterday about the Spoiled Sim Challenge but I fell off a ladder and didn't have time to play!

It's my own stupid fault for trying to bring a big pile of washing down with me, but I do it every day and I have never fell before!! Oh well...

I have played a bit with Veronica and due to her wishes she has broken up with a sim in public, which ruined her day!!

She also tried to have woohoo with Leighton but he was having none of it!! What?? A guy turning a girl down for sex?? What a wierdo!! Maybe he wants to be going steady with Ronnie before he jumps into bed with her??

Ronnie also wanted to buy this water slide for some reason and it's Autumn!! Anyway, if anything funny happens due to having to give Ronnie everything she wants I will update again!!

Spoiled Sim Challenge Update

Hi there, well I started the Spoiled sim challenge yesterday and it's really hard forcing myself not to delete all those stupid wishes that my sim has!!

The sim I have created is called Veronica Silverton and she is trailer trash!! Haha nah she's not bad!! I originally wanted her to be in the music career but because of being a spoilt sim, she currently has a job as a podium polisher... That might come in handy...

I gave Veronica the flirty trait, and the social butterfly. God knows what possessed me to do that because she has a lot of social wants and has already been on two dates! Slut!! Well, hopefully she won't turn into the local bike, but then again she hasn't wanted to woohoo any of them yet...

I will keep you all updated with this challenge, oh and I already deleted a wish!! Arrrgghhhh!! I had to!!! Bye!!

Challenge Junkie: Spoiled Sim Challenge

Hello there! I'm just going to use this blog for my gaming updates and other random things that are going on in my life for now...

I recently got bored with the Sims 3!!! Arggghhh!! I know, shock horror, but all is not lost. After typing in different variations of cool things to do on Sims 3 and bored Sim 3 Challenge, I found a huge list of challenges to complete. So I thought I'd give them a go!

The first Challenge is called the Spoiled Sim. Thanks to Glitzyangel for the ideas.

Introduction

You have to create one sim. Whatever they want, they get. In this challenge you have to fulfil every wish that your sim ever has - and you can never cancel wishes. Your sim may have wants to buy items, so they'll need some money - but you can't use money cheats.

Step One: Creating a Sim

Create a young adult in CAS. You can customize everything about them - there are no restrictions on anything. However, you may only create one sim.

Step Two: Buying a lot

You can move your sim into any lot you choose, but you have to be able to afford it. No money cheats in this challenge! Also, you must choose "unfurnished" if you're buying a lot that has a house built on it already.

Step Three: Decorating

You can create-a-style whatever you want, but you cannot buy anything from buy mode unless your sim has a wish to buy it. You can use build mode whenever you want aswell.

Step Four: Playing the game

  • As soon as your sim gets a wish you must promise it.
  • You cannot cancel any wishes.
  • If you have all four spaces filled, you have to fulfil one to be able to promise another.
  • You cannot cancel any wishes, even if they are not yet promised.
  • If you have four promised wishes already, and your sim gets another, you must not do anything to it.
  • As soon as you fulfil a wish, you must promise the next one.
  • You can not use anything (ambrosia etc...) to make your sim younger.
  • No cheats, unless to fix a glitch.
  • You cannot purchase any lifetime happiness rewards.
  • Every 5000 points (5000, 10,000, 15,000...) you can buy one item from buy mode even if your sim hadn't wished for it. It must be with your own money though, no cheats.
  • You are allowed to cancel one wish throughout the whole challenge.
Step Five: Scoring

The challenge ends when your sim is one day away from dying of old age.

  • +1 point for each lifetime happiness you have.
  • -1,000 points per promised wish leftover when your sim dies.
  • +1,000 points if you never cancelled a wish.
These are the rules, let the fun commence.... I will update with pictures of my challenge, I started this one today but forgot to take a screen capture, oh well I will do it before the end of the day!!

Top 3 Scariest Video Game Enemies

Ok, so after rambling about Final Fantasy Bosses for a bit, here are my top 3 Scariest Video Game Enemies of all time!!

Ok so Number 3 is The Butcher from Silent Hill Origins!
What not Pyramid Head? The other humanoid to appear in the Silent Hill games and the movie? No, he did not scare me like this guy did... Why?
Well you kind of expect this stuff in a Silent Hill game, you know, strange twisted creatures conjured up by an evil little girl trying to kill you. But when you walk into the local Family Butcher's you don't expect to see this:
The ferocity of the killing made me afraid, very afraid that he would turn his rusted old butcher's knife on me. Seriously, when I saw this guy I had to put down the game for about a week while I plucked up the courage to head back into Silent Hill. I am a wimp I know!

But anyway, when I finally picked the game back up and decided to take the Butcher on. It turned out that I didn't have to, not for a while anyway. The really scary thing about the Butcher was that he was always around, but you always managed to miss him.

Like when you get to peep through a hole at the room you were just in and he is just standing there, waiting for you, obviously on your trail. That's when you freak out and run away from the room in terror, because he might just be around the next corner...
Oh God!! Not you again!!

And speaking of Silent Hill...

My Second Scariest Video Game Enemy is: The Otherworld from Silent Hill.
So you might think that the other world can't be an enemy, but I hate it and love it just like any other enemy in a game. You might even say then, that it's actually Alessa who is the enemy, but I disagree.
The enemy in this entire game series is the otherworld. I played through the first game when I was about 13 and it had to be night time with all the lights turned off. Why I did this to myself, I don't know. All I know is that the otherworld scared the crap out of me.

Especially in Origins, where you have to actually choose to go there, by touching a mirror and entering the twisted, formidable world.
The atmospherics in the game has always been a draw for me, the soundtrack and just sheer creepiness of the series appeals to me because I love scaring myself!! Having to choose to go into that bloodstained and rusted world was hard for me, in my head I was screaming "Don't do it!". But it has to be done to progress in the story.
Bosses aside, the otherworld in Silent Hill is a much more scary place than the mist covered normal world, where you actually feel safer...
...Even if there is creepy stuff like this lying around.

So anyway, that was number 2!! Now for the most terrifying enemy I have ever seen in a game...

The Regenerator from Resident Evil 4!!
Yeah, this guy. Urghhh!! It's not only that he looks terrifying...
...Scratch that, Shit your self scary!! Or the fact that he smiles as he walks toward you...
...Or his tentacle thingies that come out!! Arrghhh he's too close!!!
Even the fact that once he is down, he regenerates isn't the scary part. It's how he moves. For example, you shoot his arms and legs off an he is just a torso with a head lying on the floor. He doesn't just lie there until his limbs grow back, he actually jumps towards you from the neck!! It's the most disgusting movement I have ever seen an enemy make in a game and for this reason I haven't completed the game as I can't stand playing this section!
Just no!!

This is the only game that has defeated me with it's scares. But after writing about all these scary games so much, I kinda feel like playing Resi 4 again... Thanks for reading!

10 Scariest Video Game Enemies: Part Two

If you read Part One of my list, then you will see that my list of scary enemies in games is quite unexpected and not what everyone would choose.

This is because of my own personal experiences with games and not just based on what looks scary or is intended to be, for example: Deadspace is a truly terrifying game, but none of the enemies stood out to me particularly and thus didn't make the list.

Anyway let's continue... No. 7: Seymour from Final Fantasy X.
People reading this might think, wait, he's not scary! And it certainly doesn't seem that way at first, he welcomes you into his home and even offers an invitation of marriage to the beautiful Yuna...
...Who is the main character's love interest in the game. This annoyed me at first because Tidus is supposed to get with Yuna right?? But anyway Seymour is a really scary guy, and not because he has this:
The Aeon Anima, who can take out close to 1000 enemies, just by thinking it. But because of his apocalyptic ethics which are so atrocious that when I first played this game I thought, are you for real?? (I later realised that he wasn't real, he was just a video game character). In order to save the world, according to Seymour, he should become this:
Which is Sin, the ultimate enemy in Spira and then proceed to make sure that no living thing is left on the planet, just so that there will be no more suffering! How twisted can you get? Oh and there's also the unrelenting battles that he loves getting into with you, including this one:
Which is a really annoying battle where Seymour transforms into Seymour Flux and casts Total Annihilation on your whole party, leaving everyone with 1HP. This battle constantly scared the shit out of me while trying to heal myself from 1HP with items that would kill you because he cast Zombie on your ass!! (Which makes all healing items give you damage)

Anyway, some people might not have found that scary but surely the next one:

No. 6: Slender Man from Slender
It's easy to see from this screenshot why he is so damn scary. You spend most of the game running around looking at this:
Empty, dark forest with no real features or landmarks to tell exactly where you're going. It's a very eerie game where the anticipation of seeing Slender Man is the best thing about the game, because it makes you jumpy after a while of collecting notes and not actually seeing him. Check out some of the Slender reaction Videos on Youtube and you might just want to give this game a go!

Ok, onto something different... No.5 The T-Rex from Tomb Raider.
This guy scared everyone the first time they played this game! He suddenly appears from around the corner, massive and hungry with panic inducing music hammering away in the background!! Oh and you need the shotgun to kill this guy!! Lara's graceful jumping acrobatics don't really help her out at this part of the game when you are just trying not to get stomped on or eaten and then accidentally jumping into the ravenous creature!! The good old days...

No. 4: Chainsaw Zombies from Resident Evil 4!!
Aw, he doesn't look that scary!! Well that's because you can see him!! When you first encounter this fiend you have about 5 seconds to react to the sound of the chainsaw before this happens:
And after trying that section a few times, you work out how to get around him but spend the rest of the game listening out for a chainsaw and thinking Oh Shit! everytime you hear it, because if you are fighting off a horde of zombies and can't turn around to look for the chainsaw wielding madman, chances are you are already too late and get insta-killed by having your head sawn off!!
